Good Deeds

there is a site called freerice.com in which u have to answer the questions the ask and for every correct answer 10 grains of rice are donated by them. FreeRice is a non-profit website run by the United Nations World Food Programme. FreeRice has two goals: Provide education to everyone for free. Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free. This is made possible by the generosity of the sponsors who advertise on this site. Whether you are CEO of a large corporation or a street child in a poor country, improving your education can improve your life. It is a great investment in yourself. Perhaps even greater is the investment your donated rice makes in hungry human beings, enabling them to function and be productive. Somewhere in the world, a person is eating rice that you helped provide. i open this site and play game every day............

As I was driving to run some errands I saw a neighbor that was walking home from work. He had just gotten off the train and I figured he'd appreciate a ride home. Although I was late to finish my chores I decided in a split second to stop the car and pick him up. He gladly took my offer which was smart. it was 90 degrees and he had another 10 minutes to walk home.

today i put some bread crumbs out for the birds....i chose to be friendly to a person who seems so different from me and enjoy the common ground we share...I started work on an inspiration project to help remind us all the the world is always working towards the greater good...even when it seems not so...everything is recycled and used for good. i decided to do the things that make me really happy and in love, like posting on this site and writing poetry and creating things that i truly love.

I made all my friends get me gifts for Christmas that helped someone before they helped me (like Tom's shoes) and then I gave everyone a Christmas card with a donation receipt to a charity, and a message about what I liked about them. I also convinced my immediate family to buy $200 worth of clothes and toys for the families of my community.

It's crazy at the mall this time of year so I stop to let people cross from parking lot to store. I grab the door for people loaded down with packages or for those pushing strollers. And mostly I just try to remember to smile.

He looked the same as everybody. Approaching the washing area, he quickly washed and then filled up two cups, one was placed in each sink... for the next to wash before prayer. He thought no one saw, but I did.

Sunday, an Orthodox Jewish neighbor gathered up his family of young boys and went to a lot that is held by an investor who does not clean cut the weeds that grow and the garbage that they hide partially from sight. This family cleaned the whole place up. It was a family outing, a generous deed for the neighborhood and prevented people from falling, etc. Observing, I promised to beat them next time.

Well Ramadan is on the way!!So.. Last Ramadan i read some ideas one of them is: around sunset you go to the street and give the people passing by (walking or driving) bottle of water and tamer (dates) coz some of them may not reach home on time.. this way they can break their fast if they didn't reach home yet..
