Good Deeds

I was parking my car and saw another car trying to squeeze into a rather small parking space, so watched to see the outcome. I was horrified to see that the driver hit the wheel of the parked car next to it, panic and drive off. I took down their number plate details and left a note for the owner of the parked car relaying what I had seen and providing my contact details.

My next door neighbour is a single dad with two nice teenagers who have never caused any trouble. He went away for the weekend and left the kids in the house. Quite late on the Saturday night, I heard the sound of people arguing next door, so I went outside to see if I could help. There were a couple of lads who had a bit too much to drink and were arguing with the girl who lives there as she told them that they were drunk and to go home. As I am a man and much larger than them, my mere presence sent them packing......

I helped an elderly woman with a cane get around some roadworks and onto the pavement.

I saw a woman from my office in Gap with her three young children. She was trying to buy some clothes for the kids, but they were much more interested in running around. I was about to stop for a coffee so asked her if she wanted me to take them for a snack so she could concentrate on shopping. I don't have kids myself and after the snack break did wonder how she did it.

I got an email from a school leaver, who did not attach a CV. Instead of ignoring the email, I emailed him back and advised that, although we didn't have any positions available, most employers would not respond to his email without a CV. He emailed back with appreciation and said he would take my advice on board.

I was getting my morning coffee on the way to work and the girl in front of me had misplaced her wallet, so I paid for her food.

I went to the bathroom in the mall and discovered there was no toilet paper. Fortunately for me, I always carry Kleenex, but I could not be so sure about the person after me. So when I finished, I waited for the next person to approach the cubicle and told her that there was no toilet paper.

I was on the tube and the woman next to me was coughing and spluttering and looked like she was suffering quite badly from flu. As I'd just gotten over one, I had tissues, cough sweets and olbas oil in my bag, which I handed over to her and wished her well.

A little girl and her parents got up to leave from the seating area in the kids section of the book store and I noticed that the girl had left her shoes, so I picked them up and gave them to her parents.

I got really great service in a shop, so I rang the shop's manager to tell him.

I was picking my daughter up from school yesterday and one of her classmates was upset as her mother was not there as yet. I called the mother on her mobile to find out that she had just had a minor car accident and was waiting for the police. She had called the school but there was no answer. Although our children are not friends, we brought the girl home until her father was able to come and pick her up.
